Group Instruction Agreement

If you Do Not have a Certificate for Free lessons or You Are A Continuing Student:
Payment for any group lesson is $85.00 per month: four 50 minute classes over four weeks in one month.
Payment for each month is due by the first lesson of the month that is assigned to you. Any payment made after the 10th will be assessed a $10.00 late fee.

1. To be considered for a class assignment the following must be in place:

  • A $85.00 deposit, preferably on a credit card.('The teacher is paid by the number of students he teaches. There are students waiting on hold for your time slot. If you do not use it, someone else should have had the opportunity. If you do not show up there is no chance to schedule someone else, so, you forfeit your deposit!')
  • Student Information Sheet completed and received by SMI before the 22nd of the preceeding month. (Once assignments are made there will be no re-assignments, students will be responsible for paying for any month they are asssigned to).
  • Group Instruction Agreement signed and dated.

2. All new class schedules will be e-mailed and posted on the web-site as well as in the student lounge by the first of the month.
3. Students continuing with group lessons:

  • Must make payment arrangements through SMI. You will NOT be automatically billed.
  • If your availability has changed (including potential class times other than that currently assigned), he/she must let the instructor know by the 22nd of the preceeding month. This can be done via e-mail at either: smiguitar@yahoo.com or norri@guitarshowcase.com

4. To stop lessons, students MUST notify SMI or the teacher via email or in writing by the 22nd of the final month. Students who do NOT notify SMI/Teacher WILL BE scheduled as usual and charged for the month.
5. Students who do not cancel his/her lessons properly: your $85.00 deposit will serve as your final payment.
6. Make-ups are never guaranteed. You must find the same level of class assigned to you and attend that class during the same week as your missed class.
7. There will be no pro-rates, no refunds for un-used lessons. Any cancelled/past lessons will not be pro-rated into following months.
