Workshop Calender
Week One: File management and Pro Tools basics. Descriptions of the Mix and Edit windows. The Difference between platforms (M-Box, 001, 002, TDM and HTDM). Basic Menus. I/O setup. Difference between plug-ins. Getting started recording.
Week Two: Backing up your files. Types of tracks (audio, auxiliary, MIDI, Master, LCRS). Multiple playlists. Explanation of audio files and regions. Basic routing. Pop up windows and Pro Tools shortcuts. Shuffle, Slip, Grid and Spot modes. Smart tools. Time Compression and Expansion. Importing audio. Auditioning audio.
Week Three: Editing, MIDI controllers and MIDI use. Printing MIDI to audio. MIDI sequencing and duplication. Plug-ins. Different types of plug-ins and their uses. Automating plug-ins. Microphones, preamps, getting great sound into Pro Tools.

Four: Mixing in the Box, control surfaces, automation, using Pro Tools for
movie soundtracks. Mixing and mastering. Using the Pro Tools browser. Sound design.
Summing audio in the Pro Tools mix bus.
Rates and additional information
For new system buyers, rates are $30 per class, or $120 for the package.Rates for interested partieswho have not purchased new systems over the past two months will be $45 per class or $180 for the package.
